SSO (Single Sign-On) for Frontend / Knowledge Base Access

It would be very valuable if eniston offered a Single Sign-On (SSO) option for frontend access to knowledge bases.

The goal is that users who are already logged in to an external system (website, customer portal, app) are automatically logged into the eniston knowledge base, without requiring a separate login or password.

As a reference implementation, the SSO solution used by Ecwid could serve as a good example. It is based on a signed, short-lived payload (HMAC/JWT) and is easy to integrate into existing systems:

Use Cases

  • Internal knowledge bases for teams (intranet)
  • Customer portals with integrated documentation
  • Protected help centers without separate user management in eniston

Value

  • Better user experience (no double login)
  • Less password handling
  • More enterprise- and SaaS-friendly
